For close to 50,000 Peninsula residents, a daily meal isn’t a choice between different dishes. It’s a choice between food and other critical needs – like childcare, electricity, medicine, transportation, etc. Nobody should be force to make a choice to go hungry. With your support, we can come together to help our neighbors achieve long-term food security, so they no longer have to make such tough decisions.
Hunger exists in every zip code in our region, and it is year-round. Foodbanks play a vital role in the disaster relief efforts like we experienced with COVID-19. Now, families are forced to make even more decisions as they’re impacted by increasing food and fuel costs. In order to meet the consistent need for healthy meals, the Foodbank partners with over 140 organizations and feeding programs to distribute food effectively and to minimize hunger in our community.
